Family Matriarch

This is Janet, the 83 year old Matriarch of the family we stayed with in the small village of Qaracop in Georgia. Despite her age and her failing eyesight there is very little that goes on in her home or the village around her that she doesn’t know about.

Every aspect of her families rug weaving for @rewovenrugs is overseen by Janet. Here she is hanging the washed yarn out to dry in the sun.
