Holding hands is a promise to one another that, for just a moment, the two of you don’t have to face the world alone. We were in a small village several hours outside of Bukavu in Congo. I was working with Focus Congo and we were walking around to meet people who were a part of the LAV (Let Africa Live) program. As we were walking, this little girl came running up to us. She just wanted to hold someone’s hand. Sometimes we don’t need to talk – it’s often the little things, like holding a hand that can make the biggest impact! . .
