Living Life Amongst Ancient History

I love to explore and find new places. I always enjoy markets, little road side stores, and the character of tiny little independent shops like this one, hidden away down sleepy back alleys.

I was on assignment in Nepal with @dinadinepal and @prestonthiessen, founder of Dinadi, spent a day with me on the back of his motorcycle, showing me some of the sights around Kathmandu.

As awe inspiring as the big, ancient temples, monastery complexes, and many historical places are, I always seem to most enjoy the little details. Sights like this lady casually reading the paper in her shoe-shop catch my eye. I love the feeling of life amongst the beautiful history.

Little stores and markets, much like this one, have existed as long as the surrounding temples, and probably sold shoes to many of the people, that throughout the years, have played an important role in Kathmandu life.

I hope you too can enjoy this vibrantly coloured, yet peaceful scene, from the tiny streets of Kathmandu!
