Congo Marks 60 years of Independence

Today marks the Democratic Republic of Congo’s independence from Belgium 60 years ago in 1960.

After years of struggle under colonial rule, Congo was finally free. Unfortunately, the last 60 years have not been easy.

But today as we look forward, we see hope in this great Country. We believe in the potential of the young people as they grow into leadership positions, bringing change and prosperity to the people.

Congo is full of talented and hard working people and is blessed with countless natural resources. Congo is moving forward and there is hope that from now onwards will see Congo fulfill it’s immense potential and become a strong, safe, and blessed country.

Happy Independence Day Congo! 🇨🇩🇨🇩🇨🇩
