This is Nankafu.

Meet Nankafu. I loved photographing her while on assignment with @womenforwomen in the DRC.

A few years ago, her husband left her and forced her from their home after she had several miscarriages. How did she respond? She joined the Women for Women program, started her business, took her ex husband to court and got her house back.

Her resolve, work ethic, and pride were palpable as she showed us her business and her skills in brick making. Such a privilege to get to capture these powerful and inspiring stories.

Everywhere we go in Congo we find powerful, beautiful as inspiring stories. Help us change the negative narrative and show the world how beautiful Congo is!
