Indigenous Songwriter

A few years back, I had an assignment with the South Australian Government. It was a good job, getting to travel around the state to photograph a bunch of different people who were part of an initiative to support families.

I pulled up to a quiet house on a quiet street to photograph a musician. That’s all the information I had. Sitting outside, playing the guitar under a tree, was an older couple. These were the people I had come to photograph, and as we talked, they sang, and I photographed. The afternoon drifted away in a delightful manner, and it was hours later when I finally said goodbye. Good pictures in the bag and some wonderful memories to go along with them.
